So, you stick to what you know (or what feels familiar); you end up doing almost the same reps and sets every time you workout.</p>

<p>John Alvino’s concept to consistent progression is an eye-opener. To get ripped, you need to be consistent AND push your training to the next level. Athletes and fitness gurus would strongly agree with this, I’d imagine.</p>
<h3><strong>Consistent Progression</strong></h3>
<p>When you consistently do the same things all over again, you find yourself at a plateau; you neither progress nor regress. It would be very difficult to achieve easy six pack abs that way.</p>
<p>When it comes to an effective workout for six pack abs, we need to challenge ourselves to perform better every time. It’s just like what John Alvino said in his e-book, there are a variety of ways to increase our drive for every exercise we do:</p>
<ul>
<li>Increase resistance. You can      very well increase the weight of your load or change the angle of your      bodyweight exercise.</li>
<li>Increase the number of reps. Gradually      add on to exercise reps as time goes by. Not only will you feel your      muscles are working hard, but you will also see results in no time.</li>
<li>Density of the workout. How to      get six pack abs quick with this technique? Let’s say you used to run 5 Km      in 3 hours. Try finishing the same distance in 2.5 hours or less. This is      also an effective technique for fat-loss conditioning.</li>
<li>Quality of workout. A      high-quality workout is very important in bodybuilding. Keep your routine      fast-paced, but remember to do each exercise correctly.</li>
</ul>

<p>We all want to see results FAST, and that’s a given. There may not be any magic spells for it, but there are things you can do to achieve ripped abs in the shortest possible time. All you need to remember are these 3 simple facts:</p>

<p>I found out later on that 8 pack abs are indeed attainable. With determination, the right diet, and lots of exercise, anyone can have them…even YOU.</p>

<p>Let’s focus on that last bit. Exercise. It’s something a lot of people dread because they consider it as work. If you think about it, it does require a lot of work. But keeping your eye on the prize only makes the journey so worthwhile.</p>
<p>You have to start somewhere, right? These 4 abdominal muscles exercises are the most basic drills you can do to get 8 pack abs:</p>
<ol>
<li>Weighted Sit Ups</li>
<li>Bicycles</li>
<li>Full Body Crunches</li>
<li>Curls</li>
</ol>
<ol> </ol>
<h3>Weighted Sit Ups</h3>
<p>Anything that simulates a small amount of weight, like a hardbound book or a small bag of rice, will be useful in this exercise. If my kitchen’s running low on supplies, I simply take a zip-lock bag, fill it with water, sand, or soil, and seal it tight.</p>
<p>Lay down on the floor, bend your knees slightly, and plant your feet firmly on the ground. Place the weight over your chest and secure it with both hands. Lift your shoulders off the floor slowly without moving the lower half of your body. Remember to keep those abdominal muscles tight. Once you’re at an angle, hold that position for as long as you can, then lower your shoulders back to floor slowly. If you do this exercise often, you will definitely get your 8 pack abs.</p>
<h3>Bicycle</h3>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>This one’s my favorite out of the bunch. Simply lie down on the floor, bring your knees up alternately, as if you were biking in air. Meanwhile, with your hands behind your ears, touch your right elbow to your left knee as it goes up, and then do the same with the other side.</p>
<h3>Full Body Crunches</h3>
<p>This one’s a real challenge, but I feel that it’s doing a lot for my abs. I suggest you start doing it, too!</p>
<p>While still lying on the floor, rest your hands over your chest, and bend your knees once again. Raise your shoulders up as you would in a regular crunch. Here comes the tricky part: while doing the crunches, try lifting your legs at the same time. Your target is to form a sort of horse shoe shape with your body every time you go in for that crunch. Hold that position while keeping your abs tight, and then go back to your original position.</p>
<h3>Curls</h3>
<p>This is very similar to the upper body crunch, but instead of just focusing on the number of reps you do, you will be paying more attention to contracting your ab muscles and maintaining your form. Place both hands on your midsection and feel it get tighter. Slowly curl your head and shoulders upward then resume your original position.</p>
<p>8 pack abs CAN be a reality. Just perform these simple abs exercises regularly and NEVER GIVE UP!</p>

<p>Don’t be discouraged even before you’ve begun though. Getting your abs in shape isn’t as hard as you think. Once you have the essentials down, everything will just start to fall into place.</p>
<p>How does one get six pack abs? I feel that the most obvious question is, “Where does one START?”</p>
<p>When I decided to build my abdominals, I didn’t know where to begin either. I struggled for days, weeks even, thinking about the best thing to do first. Looking back, it would’ve been a whole lot easier for me had I followed these 3 easy steps:</p>
<ol>
<li>Re-evaluate your eating habits;</li>
<li>Burn excess body fat; and</li>
<li>Follow an abdominal muscles program.</li>
</ol>
<h3>Diet</h3>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>The first thing you need to do is to look at your diet. Check the contents of your fridge, think back on what you usually order when you eat out, and review your grocery lists. These are a few things you can do to implement this step.</p>
<p>Altering my nutritional regimen definitely helped me kick off my objective to build my abdominals. Your diet can have a huge impact on your body’s performance and appearance. By cutting down on bad fats, starchy foods, and sweets, you’re actually paving the way for your body to get in gear.</p>
<p>Word of advice: before spending a ridiculous amount of money on complicated training machines and too-good-to-be-true diet pills, work on your diet. You’ll be surprised how much time and money you can save just by doing that.</p>
<h3>Burn Fat</h3>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>The second step requires you to burn excess body fat. Excess – the term itself says it all. When you have more fat than your body needs, it only makes it more difficult to tone your muscles, especially your midsection.</p>
<p>For me to build my abdominals, I had to perform full body workouts. Exercises that involve all muscle groups help burn more fat. Not only that, but they improve your general fitness as well.</p>
<p>High-intensity full body aerobic exercises will give you the best fat burning results during and AFTER your workout. As you form this healthy habit, your body will respond positively and can only continue to burn fat long after you’ve exercised.</p>
<h3>Abdominal Muscles Training</h3>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p>Combined with full body workouts, regular implementation of an abdominal training program will definitely get your ab muscles toned and buffed in no time. This was the third step I took to build my abdominals.</p>
<p>High-resistance ab exercises such as weighted sit ups and hanging leg raises build muscles fast and safe. After doing regular crunches and sit ups, it would be best if you tried exercises that will challenge you more. Remember, the higher the resistance, the faster you’re going to get ripped abs.</p>
<p>Following these 3 steps made it easier for me to build my abdominals, and it will do the same for you. So, start eating healthy, perform full body workouts, and hike up the resistance for your ab program today.</p>
